Lineweights are width values of graphical objects and some types of text.
You can use lineweights to draw heavy and thin lines. For example, heavy lines for walls in architecture drawing but thin lines for them in electrical drawing.
Lineweights are not displayed unless the LWT button on the status bar is selected. TrueType fonts, raster images, wide polyline, points and solid fills (2D solids) can not display lineweights. You can also plot objects with object's LWEIGHT or another custom lineweight values. Use the Plot Style Table Editor, you can adjust the lineweight values to plot.
Lineweight Scale in Drawings
Plotting of objects will be done with the exact width of the assigned lineweight value. You can choose inches or millimeters as a measurement, but the default unit is millimeters and layers are set to 0.25 mm. A lineweight value of 0.025 mm or less, will be plotted at the thinnest lineweight available on the specified plotting device.
