LAYOFF command


The LAYOFF command is used to turn off the layer of selected object.

Command Access:

Ribbon : Home > Layer > LAYOFF
Menu : Format > Layer Tools > Layer Off
Command : LAYOFF

Command Prompts:

Select object on layer to turn off or [Settings/Undo]:

Function Description:

Turn off the layer of selected object, the object will be invisible. This command will be very helpful when users want to process graph without obstructions or print graph without details.

Relative Glossary:

Select object on layer to turn off:
Specify the layer to be turned off.
Settings:
Display the settings of viewport and block definitions. During the process, the specified setting will not be changed.

Viewports:
Display settings of viewports.

Vpfreeze:
Freeze specified layer in current layout viewport.
Off:
Turn off specified layer in all viewports.

Block selection:
Display settings of specified block definition.

Block:
If the selected object is nested in block, the layer of selected block will be frozen.
If the selected object is nested in external reference, it will freeze the layer of selected object.
Entity:
Freeze the layer of selected object even if the selected object is nested in external reference or block.
None:
If selecting the block or external reference, it will freeze the layers that the block or external reference belongs to.

Undo:
Cancel selection of previous layer.
